Join us for a transformative one-day yoga retreat created as to help you renew your core values, elevate your life’s quality, and deepen your connection with yourself and others. At Soma Yoga Scotland, we teach and practice what could be called Yoga for Life, seen not just as a physical experience on the mat alone, but as a journey of exploration and transformation toward greater self-awareness, purpose and inner balance. That’s why we’re offering this one-day yoga retreat completely free, as an opportunity for you to meet us, experience our unique approach to yoga, and see how it can fit your needs and aspirations. During this yoga retreat, you’ll have the chance to immerse yourself in the fundamentals at the core of all teachings offered by Soma Yoga Scotland, exploring not only the physical postures, called asanas, but also the deeper knowledge that guides our practice from within. Whether you’re new to yoga or an experienced practitioner, you’ll walk away with valuable insights and practical tools to enrich your daily life, no matter what path you choose after the retreat. This day is about more than just trying something new; it’s about reconnecting with your core values, finding greater clarity, and discovering how yoga can support your journey towards a more fulfilling life. We invite you to join us for a day of exploration, reflection, and community. What to Expect:

Morning Session: 9:30 AM – 12:30 PM

Start your day with a warm welcome and a chance to share your intentions for the retreat. We’ll introduce you to the foundational concepts of Soma Yoga Scotland’s teachings, including the Law of Resonance and the Chakras, setting the stage for a day of deep exploration and practice.
  • Introduction to Key Concepts: Learn about the Law of Resonance, Chakras, and the unique approach we take to asana practice.
  • Hatha Yoga Practice: Engage in a guided session with warm-ups, relaxation, and selected asanas, all tailored to suit the group’s experience level.
  • Subtle structure of the human being: Learn about the 5 Koshas
  • Music Meditation: Experience a music supported meditation aimed at purifying and energizing one of the koshas, helping you gain access to the more subtle layers of your being.

Lunch Break: 12:30 PM – 3:30 PM

you need to make your own arrangements for this time, not at the centre.  Enjoy a leisurely lunch break with time to relax, reflect, and perhaps connect with your fellow participants.

Afternoon Session: 3:30 PM – 6:30 PM

Dive deeper into the heart of the retreat as we explore how reconnecting with your core values can profoundly elevate your life, giving it a higher and fulfilling purpose. This session is designed to be both accessible and enriching, whether you’re new to yoga or an experienced practitioner.
  • Core Values Workshop: Reflect on your core values and explore how they influence your daily life. Through guided exercises, we’ll help you reconnect with these values and see how they can enhance your personal journey.
  • Essential key elements to make your yoga practice very efficient
  • Practical Exercises: Engage in activities that will help you understand and deepen your connection to your core values, offering insights that can be applied long after the retreat.

Dinner Break: 6:30 PM – 7:30 PM

Take a moment to unwind with light refreshments, including fruits, dry nuts, and refreshing beverages. Stay in the hall to socialize or simply enjoy a quiet moment before the evening session.

Evening Session: 7:30 PM – 9:30 PM

The day culminates in an interactive and engaging session that will leave you feeling inspired and rejuvenated.
  • Guided Connection Exercises: Participate in activities like our guided dating game and the Art of Embracing, designed to foster deep connections and self-awareness.
  • Transfiguration Practice: Explore the powerful practice of transfiguration, followed by group sharing to crystallize the day’s insights.
  • Synthesis & Sharing: Conclude the retreat by reflecting on your experiences and sharing your insights, helping to clarify the lessons learned and the connections made.
